We’re looking for a DevOps engineer with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to help us strengthen and scale our infrastructure. Our current tech stack includes GKE (Kubernetes), Helm, Argo Rollouts, and Istio. The focus is on delivering secure, reliable, and observable systems with modern deployment strategies.
If you thrive in Kubernetes environments and understand the ins and outs of CI/CD and service mesh patterns, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters on GCP (GKE)
2. Creating and maintaining Helm charts across dev, staging, and production
3. Setting up Argo Rollouts for canary and blue-green deployments
4. Managing Istio configurations for traffic control, ingress, mTLS, and observability
5. Handling TLS certificates (Let’s Encrypt or GCP-managed)
6. Improving CI/CD pipelines to support GitOps and progressive delivery
7. Ensuring infrastructure is secure, reliable, and performance-optimized
What We’re Looking For:
1. Strong hands-on experience with GCP and GKE
2. Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and Argo Rollouts
3. Solid experience with Istio (e.g., traffic shifting, security policies, monitoring)
4. Familiarity with GitOps practices
5. Terraform or other IaC tool experience is a bonus
6. Great troubleshooting, automation, and communication skills
Nice to Have:
1. Experience with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
2. Prior Upwork or remote freelancing experience with positive reviews
3. Ready to start right away
Project Scope: We focus on stabilizing our infrastructure and improving our CI/CD processes. If things go well, this could evolve into a long-term partnership.
